Digital and events company MyAfricanStartup has partnered the African Development Bank (AfDB) to hold a startup conference in Abidjan, Ivory Coast on May 26-27.

Startup founders and young entrepreneurs are invited to attend the event – organised in  collaboration with the AfDB – for free.

MyAfricanStartUp is an initiative of large African companies, managers and international media sharing thoughts in order to bring about visibility for startups on the continent.

“Are you the founder of a startup company which is young innovative with high growth potential? Are you looking for visibility or funding? Are you in an explorative phase, interested in the creation of start ups because you have the idea of the century but do not know how to implement this project?” MyAfricanStartup said in its call to action.

The event will include talks on subjects such as “Mistakes to avoid”, “Testimonials from successful entrepreneurs”, and “The ecosystem of startups in Africa”, while 30 entrepreneurs from several African countries will pitch their businesses on stage to an audience of more than 400 people, including journalists, investors and a grand jury.
