Young South African entrepreneurs Grant Vanderwagen and Elizabeth Crockett have launched The Social Vibe, a marketing platform for showcasing innovation through banner advertising.
The Social Vibe went live on April 1, and hopes to showcase businesses, startups, brands and services through banner sliders on its homepage, while also pushing brands through its marketing strategy and online network.
The founders said they hoped the site could become a hub of information on innovation in South Africa, allowing users to search for innovative ideas.
“Our vision for TSV is that it will become an innovative hub full of new ideas and businesses. Innovation creates the future and we want to showcase that innovation to the world,” Vanderwagen told Disrupt Africa.
“We are looking forward to this and we hope to show South Africa, Africa and the rest of the world the incredible innovation that is coming out of South Africa.”
A brand showcased on The Social Vibe will obtain a banner featured on one of the multiple sliders on the homepage, a company page on the site and assistance with social marketing strategy.
South Africa is where we at, this is our home and we want to show the world the innovation that comes out of the tip of Africa, Our first step is to find that innovation within South Africa and showcase it for the world to see,” Vanderwagen said.
