Applications are open for the 2015 Business Partners Limited  and SME Toolkit South Africa Global Entrepreneurship Week’s business plan competition, with the national winner to secure ZAR20,000 (US$1,567) prize money.

The competition is aimed at aspiring young South African entrepreneurs who have a business idea, but have not yet launched operations.

There are three phases to the competition, starting with the selection of successful applications for a “Creating an effective business plan” workshop – to be held in multiple locations across South Africa.

Based on the workshops, participants submit their business plan, to qualify for regional judging.

Finally, the competition culminates with regional winners going head-to-head at the national competition, which will take place during Global Entrepreneurship Week in November.

While the overall national winner will be awarded ZAR20,000 (US$1,567), all participants will receive mentorship from Business Partners Limited, as well as extensive exposure throughout the competition process.

More information on how to apply is available here.  Applications remain open until August 14.
