Seedstars World announces 10 startups to pitch at final African event of year in Botswana

Global early-stage startups competition has announced the 10 startups that will pitch at its final African event of the year in Gaborone, Botswana, on Friday, November 27, with the winning startup to head to the global final next year to pitch for US$500,000 in equity investment.

Seedstars World has already hosted African heats in Mozambique, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast,Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Angola, Tanzania and Senegal, and wraps up its African tour this week in Gaborone.

The event will take place at the Microsoft Innovation Centre, located within the Botswana Innovation Hub (BIH), with the startups to pitch to a panel of judges. A winner will be selected to represent the country at the final event in Geneva, Switzerland in February next year.

Pitching startups include livestock farm management application Modisar, music service Zimbo Music, livestock marketing platform Farmconnecta, and employee payment platform Richbase.

The rest of the list is made up of taxi app Hello Cabs, UAV services company Terracam, clinic locator service Cryptix, mobile concierge service The Event Muse, NGO social network DVLP, and recycling startup Earth Love.
