TenaCiTi accelerator launched in Cape Town

The Cape Innovation and Technology Initiative (CiTi) and the Kingdom of Netherlands in collaboration with #cocreateSA have launched the TenaCiTi Career Acceleration Programme for startups that want to invest in junior staff.

Ten local startups will be selected to take part in the TenaCiTi programme, applications for which close on October 11.

The programme is designed for small businesses that want to invest in junior staff but lack the time and resources to train new recruits in essential workplace skills. TenaCiTi aims to instill the confidence, professionalism, communication and problem-solving skills junior staff need to contribute meaningfully to startups.

Selected companies will take part in the programme from the end of October 2016 until April next year, with owners and managers needing to invest 50 hours of their time during that period. Junior recruits will need to invest 100 hours of time.

The programme is free, with selected startups receiving a personalised development plan for their new talent and support from TenaCiTi in growing them with targeted interventions.
