The latest edition of startup launch event DEMO Africa will take place in Rabat, Morocco on October 24-25, co-located with an event hosted by the Federation of Information Technology, Telecommunications and Offshoring (APEBI).

The seventh edition of DEMO Africa took place in Casablanca last year after previous editions in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa, with this year’s event having been moved to Rabat.

It will be co-located with APEBI’s flagship event AITEX, which has been running for the last three years in Casablanca and Rabat. As part of the agreement, DEMO Africa and StarTex, the startup initiative at AITEX, will jointly run the startup agenda at the event, bringing a total of 100 digital startups from across Africa onto one platform.

“We are always happy to partner with strong, like-minded organisations like APEBI because such partnerships increase the impact of the work that we do,” said Harry Hare, founder and producer of DEMO Africa. “Co-locating all our events at the same venue and at the same time provides a critical mass of a C-level audience interested in the development of technology in Africa which we are proud to be a part of.”
