Startup Weekend set for Sudan debut

The global Startup Weekend competition will take place for the first time in Khartoum, Sudan on November 14-16, with a host of entrepreneurs pitching their ideas for the opportunity to turn it into a working prototype.

The weekend will end with the prototypes being demoed to a panel of judges in a order for a winner to be picked to go forward to the global competition.

“Throughout the weekend, contestants will be aided by an esteemed assemblage of mentors; battled hardened warriors of the tech startup scene,” the organisers said.

“Mentors will be dispensing valuable advice and feedback to tweak that startup MVP and prototype pitch to perfection. Mentors are the movers and shakers of the tech startup world, their one-on-one advice at SW is indispensable.”
