Kenya’s @iLabAfrica is to host a nine-day holiday bootcamp for primary and high school students, aimed at teaching students to express their creativity through multimedia tools.

@iLabAfrica said the holiday bootcamp is intended to “motivate and inspire students to bring their creative ideas to life”; with students to create their own games, animations, and other projects, to be published online.

Attendees will learn a range of digital skills, such as 3D animation creation, website design, coding, how to make apps, video game design; while a number of motivational talks will also be held, featuring representatives of large ICT firms.

The organisers said the event is suitable for students of all abilities, as the camp will begin with the basic and progress through the topics in a systematic and personalised way.

The bootcamp will take place at @iLabAfrica between April 7 and 17, running from 9am to 3pm each day.

Registration for the training is online.
