BongoHive launches revamped membership plan

Zambian incubator BongoHive has launched a new membership plan on the back of moving into new offices.

Disrupt Africa reported in January BongoHive relocated to larger offices after leaving its home of two years, saying the move would allow it to better serve the needs of Lusaka’s startup community.

The hub has now revamped its membership plan to include White, Yellow and Black member schemes.

“We encourage an open and collaborative working style whether you are shaping an idea, contracting as a freelancer or working on a startup as a small team, we have a membership plan to accommodate your needs,” BongoHive said.

“Our membership rates, where applicable, are purposely competitively priced as we aim to attract Lusaka’s most promising ideas and minds.

White members will gain access to the weekly newsletter, use of the co-working space for up to three days per week, internet and event access for free.

Yellow members receive the same, plus a BongoHive website profile and listing, reserved desk and chair, semi-private storage space, daytime access to the hub, a city mailing address, access to the in-house business incubation manager, the hub’s industry and global mentorship network, and presentation and meeting facilities, for ZMW300 (US$40) per month.

Black members again receive all the above, as well as a private office for three to six people, 24/7 access, and security, utilities and cleaning included, for between ZMW1,000 (US$135) and ZMW2000 (US$270) per month.
