iHub hosts French delegation learning about Kenyan startup ecosystem

Nairobi-based incubator iHub has announced a collaboration with bpifrance and Business France, the trade and investment office of the French Embassy, to host a delegation from France looking to learn about Kenya’s tech startup ecosystem.

The delegation will comprise of French tech startups, SMEs and investors, and will visit the iHub on June 9 as it seeks to understand the Kenyan tech scene by meeting counterparts to discuss how to forge mutually beneficial partnerships leveraging on each other’s strengths.

“This is certainly a great opportunity for the Kenyan tech community, and a great step towards scaling their innovations globally. It is also a chance for the tech community to possibly learn about French technologies that have the potential to disrupt their businesses and in turn the market,” the iHub said.

The event will end with a session involving a number Kenyan and French startups and SMEs pitching to an audience. French companies taking part include A21A, Famoco, Intersec, Linagora and Siradel.
