New Venia Business Hub opens in Lagos

Nigeria’s Venia Group has announced the opening of a second co-working space in Lagos, building on the success of the company’s first office space for entrepreneurs.

The new Venia Business Hub is now open in the Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos, and has capacity for 120 entrepreneurs.

The space offers furnished offices, a fully kitted conference room with video conferencing services, private meeting rooms, high-speed internet, kitchen facilities, and parking space; as well as value-added services like front desk and business advisory services.

The company said it intends the hub to go beyond being an infrastructure platform, but rather hopes to contribute to job creation and enterprise building in Nigeria and across Africa.

“Our value proposition is simple- to kick start businesses by providing the best platform for growth, collaborations and partnerships. Members of our hub leverage on our affiliations with venture capitalist firms, vendors and network of contingent professionals within and outside the country,” said Kola Oyeneyin, chief executive officer (CEO) of Venia Group.

“By providing affordable premium services to our members, we are giving them the opportunity to go about their jobs without having to worry about things like erratic power supply or internet connectivity. All you need to do is focus on doing business,” Oyeneyin said.

The first Venia Business Hub launched four years ago, and claims to have had a key role in supporting e-commerce startups in particular.
