Tanzanian startups have been invited to pitch and exhibit their products at the Sahara Sparks Innovation and technology entrepreneurship event, which takes place in Dar es Salaam on May 13-14.

The event, which should involve around 600 participants, promotes Tanzanian technology startups, and early stage companies by providing them with opportunity to be exposed, pitch and exhibit their products and services to potential investors and partners.

Sahara Sparks is aiming at bridging the gap between young innovators and mentors, investors and potential business partners,” the organisers said.

“Tanzanian startups have the potential to scale into profitable businesses while producing massive changes on the traditional ways of doing things. The question is, where can they launch their products? How can they find potential investors and partners? How can they get proper expert mentoring to scale their businesses?”

Interested entrepreneurs are invited to register online for the chance to pitch or exhibit.
