Nairobi to host annual FailFaire

Leadership training initiative Amani Institute has teamed up with the iHub to host the fourth annual FailFaire event in Nairobi, Kenya, allowing entrepreneurs to learn from successful counterparts who have previously failed in business.

Amani Institute will host FailFaire 2016 – which is free to attend – on May 4 at the iHub, the fourth time the event has taken place since its launch in 2013.

“We, at Amani Institute, believe that given the incredible amount of innovation in different sectors in Nairobi, there is a tremendous amount we can learn from each other’s failures in a comfortable and closed setting,” the organisers said.

“Our objective is to go beyond the traditional norms of presenting “best practices” and success stories because there is as much we can learn from what went right as from what went wrong.”

The lineup of speakers have all managed to turn failure into success, with confirmed speakers including Bluesky Innovations founder Nasreen Dhanji, GrowthAfrica founder Johnni Kjelsgaard, M-KOPA Solar co-founder Chad Larson, WYLDE International founder Joram Mwinamo, and Capital FM radio host Renee Ngamau.
