South African ICT services firm Internet Solutions has launched a range of technology solutions specifically aimed at small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Internet Solutions said its IGNITE range provided quick and affordable access to internet, billing, employee management and communications services, offering SMEs ICT infrastructure similar to that of big business.

The aim is to ensure startups are better equipped to compete in today’s fast-paced, competitive and tech-led business environment.

“With the right digital tools, we believe that SMEs can be just as efficient, connected and productive as corporates with large ICT budgets, if not more so,” said Tony Koutakis, executive head of IGNITE.

“Leveraging Internet Solutions’ expertise and resilient network, we set out to provide a range of solutions that will help SMEs connect, run and grow their businesses. The result is a single support-driven portal that enables SME-owners to manage their services portfolio online, wherever they are, as need and budget dictates.”

The new suite combines and streamlines three existing Internet Solutions’ divisions – MWEB Business, IGNITE and IS Direct – allowing SME clients to select from a range of internet connectivity, communication, cloud, payroll, accounting and recruitment services.

Sign-up is paperless, there is no contract lock-in, and services are billed via a pay-as-you-use model.

“Automation, simplicity, consumption-based models, and agility is very important to SME’s. We needed to adapt our business model, and we are achieving this with IS Ignite,” Koutakis said.

“The way we have built the business is to improve the client experience, while adding to the system of digital tools that make sense for an SME.”
