StartupSouth event returning to Port Harcourt

The StartupSouth entrepreneurship conference will return to the Nigerian city of Port Harcourt for the second year running on November 10, aimed at encouraging young Nigerians to start their own businesses.

The event, which also aims to educate attendees on opportunities and trends within the global entrepreneurship scene, will run under the theme “Tech As Business Enabler”.

More than 200 startup founders, investors and enthusiasts attended the inaugural StartupSouth last year, with over 500 expected for the second edition from across Port Harcourt, Warri, Uyo, Calabar, Yenagoa, Owerri, Enugu, Onitsha, Awka, Benin, Aba and Lagos.

The conference aims to connect people with innovative ideas with investors, while presentations and activities are structured to help participants learn useful tips from experts to grow their businesses.

Speakers include HotelOga founder Marek Zmyslowski, SimplePay founder Simeon Ononobi, and Lexi Novitske, principal investment officer at Singularity Investments.
