Facebook is to host its first African FbStart event in Cape Town tomorrow (November 15), connecting local developers with the Facebook team, industry experts, and other startups to learn from one another.

FbStart is a global programme designed to help mobile startups build and grow their businesses; through access to year-round support from Facebook product experts; membership of an exclusive community of global startups; and free tools and services from partners like Amazon, Dropbox, and Stripe.

To date, 300 African startups have enrolled in the FbStart programme.

The FbStart event to be held tomorrow at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) is part of a global event tour, aiming to connect the Facebook team with developer communities across the world. It is the first time a FbStart event is being held in Africa.

The free half-day event will cover new products from Facebook, dive deeper into the existing ones, and discuss real-life case studies and best practices.

Startups wishing to attend can register here.
