Startup Weekend Education will take place in Nairobi, Kenya on November 25-27, a 54-hour event that will teach participants how to build a company in the ed-tech space.

The event is part of the Global Startup Weekend, and will see a local winner recognised globally and receive prizes to help them catalyse their business.

Participants will be shown how to create a real company, and be introduced to potential mentors, investors, co-founders and sponsors.

“The hardest part of starting up is starting out. At Startup Weekend, you’ll be immersed in the ideal environment for startup magic to happen,” the organisers said. “Surrounded by smart, passionate people and with the best tools and approaches at your disposal, you’ll take giant leaps toward creating a business, becoming a founder, and connecting with the right people and resources.”

Partners for the event include Andela, Moringa School, Tunapanda Institute and iBizAfrica. Startup Weekend has been running in Nairobi for the past four years.
