Cairo-based startup support organisation INJAZ Egypt has opened applications for its StartUp Egypt incubation programme, which will offer selected startups access to training and seed funding.

INJAZ Egypt said StartUp Egypt was an intensive incubation programme aimed at preparing participants for growth and further investment. Applications are open until January 29.

The first phase of the programme will see 50 startups provided with training over a period of five months. The best 20 teams will enter INJAZ’s StartUp Egypt competition, which will see them showcase their products and services at a trade fair.

Seven winning teams will then enter the incubation phase, launching their business ideas to the public. These teams will be provided with office space, seed funding, and training over a period of four months. The programme culminates with a demo day.

The programme is open to Egyptian citizens aged between 21 and 30 years old, who have received no previous investment. Interested parties can apply here.
