Six startups have graduated from the Launch accelerator programme run by Zambian innovation  hub BongoHive, showcasing their solutions at a Demo Night.

The inaugural three-month Launch programme kicked off in January 2016, and targets startups looking to scale and increase their traction.

Launch takes startups through a customised series of sessions with BongoHive’s incubation lead, accountant and legal counsel, and aims to equip participants with the right tools to go on and operate successful businesses.

The accelerator had regular intakes, with the fourth cohort of the programme graduating this week.

While 12 startups originally started the programme, only six completed the three months and graduated at Demo Night on Tuesday (April 11).

The graduating startups were agriculture-focused radio station Agricomm Kulima Radio; on-demand concierge service HomeCareZambia; natural haircare brand Garden of ZuCChi; relocation service Simply Relocate Zambia; IT support services provider Outsource Now; and fashion and furnishings brand My Perfect Stitch.

Applications are also still open here for the fifth cohort of Launch, until April 14.
