Computicket acquires event registration startup Entry Ninja

South African event registration platform Entry Ninja has been acquired by Computicket, which plans to leverage the solution to service mass sporting events in South Africa.

Entry Ninja is an online entry solution which facilitates registration for South African sporting events.

The platform offers event organisers a streamlined registration and ticketing service, as well as additional features such as in-depth statistics on participants and funds collected.

Individuals or teams can register for events listed; and users of the portal can save their profile, removing the need to re-enter personal information for each event registration.

Computicket announced it has acquired the startup, for an undisclosed amount, as the company has “set its sights on servicing mass sporting events via Entry Ninja’s innovative system.”

“We were actively looking to extend into event registration so as to better service our customers through the approximately 1,000 Computicket outlets,” said Joseph Bronn, deputy chief operating officer (COO) for the Shoprite Holdings Group.

Entry Ninja’s management team and current staff will continue running day-to-day business operations, Computicket said.
