Silicon Cape and French Tech have partnered to host the AfricArena innovation conference, which will take place in November with the goal of connecting African startups with investors.

AfricArena, which will take place at the Century City Conference Centre on November 6-7, is a new platform that aims to connect investors from all over the world with startups from all over Africa.

The main themes of the event are Smart City Living, Smart Agri, Smart Commerce, Smart Education, Smart Media, and Smart Travel, and the objective is to attract 500 delegates, with a strong proportion of international visitors.

The conference will host keynotes and panel discussions with top speakers from Europe and Africa, as well as numerous pitch battles for investment opportunities from committed angel investors, VCs and private equity players.

Several challenges taking place ahead of the conference will enable startups to win free access to compete during the event. The conference is supported by numerous partners, such as the South African Venture Capital Association (SAVCA) and Wesgro, and sponsors, including Air France.
