Nominations open to global Women in Fintech Powerlist

Nominations are open to Innovate Finance’s Women in Fintech Powerlist, which recognises women shaping the future of fintech around the world.

UK-based membership organisation Innovate Finance compiles its Powerlist of Women in Fintech each year, with the aim of closing the fintech gender gap by showcasing the women driving the global fintech space.

The initiative calls on members of the global ecosystem – both male and female – to nominate and submit the names of female colleagues who should be recognised for their contribution to fintech.  Self-nomination is also possible.

The women that make up the powerlist play different roles in fintech ranging from executives and managers, to lawyers and journalists.

The initiative aims to celebrate all the unique journeys into fintech and the nominees’ collective contributions to the ecosystem, Innovate Finance said.

“We want to recognise the significant contribution that women make in fintech. Our annual powerlist celebrates the women playing an instrumental role in driving success across fintech,” said Charlotte Crosswell, chief executive officer (CEO) of Innovate Finance.

As a global movement, fintech requires a diverse range of voices to shape and influence its future, the organisation said, as such, nominations from around the world are encouraged.

“Innovate Finance are particularly interested in receiving nominations from international African entrepreneurs to reflect the dynamic innovations occurring across the continent and the key drivers behind them,” the organisation said.

Nominations can be submitted here, until October 31.
