South African startup Cape has been named Best Wi-Fi Startup of 2017 at the Wi-Fi NOW Europe event, being recognised for its intuitive way for enterprises to measure and manage end-user Wi-Fi experience.

Launched in 2015 as Asimmetric, and rebranded last year, Cape has rolled out a Wi-Fi network and application quality monitoring tool.

The Cape Sensor monitors Wi-Fi network and application performance 24/7 by behaving like a real user and reporting issues in real-time before users complain. Network providers can access information via an easy-to-use cloud-based dashboard.

Wi-Fi NOW’s mission is to support and promote all things Wi-Fi, with Cape named Best Wi-Fi Startup at its recent event.

“We’re honoured to be recognised by our peers for the innovation Cape is bringing in the Wi-Fi industry,” said Ross Douglas, the Cape co-founder who received the award on behalf of the company.
