Co-working company Nairobi Garage is to open the doors of a fourth workspace in the Spring Valley area, adding a further 450 desks in response to accelerating demand for its flexible working options.

Launched in 2014, Nairobi Garage is a premium managed workspace for innovative and fast-growing companies, home to over 150 high-impact member companies.

The company has been busy expanding over the last few years, opening a new facility in Westlands, relocating its original Ngong Road space, and opening a third premises in Karen in February. It has now added a Spring Valley space to that, adding a further 28,000 sq ft of workspace, 450 desks and 22 private offices to the Nairobi Garage network.

The new location – located in The Promenade – is the most premium space to date; with boardrooms fully equipped with video conferencing facilities, and design thinking rooms on hand to support the creative work of members. It also features an outdoor deck with a 300-person capacity, suitable for events, breakout work, and team building and collaboration sessions.

As with all Nairobi Garage spaces, the Spring Valley office is serviced by internet connectivity provided through a partnership with Liquid Telecom, aimed at supporting the growth of the digital entrepreneurship in Kenya.

“Nairobi Garage offers something far beyond the mundane office model of working – we provide vibrant spaces, geared towards improving productivity and creativity, as well as a fantastic network of Nairobi’s brightest business and tech leaders, and entrepreneurs. Our new space along General Mathenge is exceptional, and we’re really excited to open our doors in the new year,” said Hannah Clifford, director of Nairobi Garage.

With the addition of the Spring Valley location, which will open its doors in January, Nairobi Garage now operates four spaces spanning Nairobi, offering over 1,500 desks. Members have the ability to drop in and work from any premises at no extra cost, and can use the meeting rooms and facilities in any location.
